Steve Smith, who is standing in as a temporary skipper for Australia had a dream run in the ongoing IND vs AUS series. He scored 4 centuries in 4 test matches equalling the record of Don Bradman and Jaques Kallis. He became the first captain in the history of the cricket game to score three consecutive centuries in three test matches. Steve Smith who promoted himself to no. 2 slot after the exit of miachel Clarke due to a back injury. He is in the form of his life in this series, also he registered his career best of 192 in the third test match at MCG.
His last eight innings scores are 162*, 52*, 133, 28, 192, 14, 117, 71.
He scored a total of 769 runs in the series with a mind boggling average of 128.16.
Also he sets a world record for scoring most number of
runs in a series of four or fewer matches.
