Ian Bell becomes highest run scorer for England in ODI's surpassing Collingwood!

England Current opening Batsman Ian Bell surpassed Paul Collingwood to become the highest run scorer for England in ODI's in the Carlton Mid tri series. In the process Bell registered his carrer best score of 141 in ODI's, surpassing previous best of 126*. At the individual score of 6 runs, he became the second England batsman to score 5000 ODI runs. Previous highest run getter for England is Paul Collingwood with 5092 runs from 181 innings. Bell has surpassed him in just 149 innings.

England made 303 runs for the loss of 8 wickets from their 50 over quota. England were 244 for 2 at the end of the 40th over. Bell looked on course for a double century. But Sandhu's double strike in the 42nd over stalled their momentum, and Starc and Faulkner followed that up with some brilliant death bowling. Only 59 came off the last 10 overs, only 27 off the last five, and Australia are in with a real chance of winning this. It's still a 300-plus target, though, Australia have a second-choice batting line-up, and England have a pretty good pace attack. Should make for a cracking chase.
