As long as I can contribute, I will continue playing says "Michael Hussey"

Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey has said that he is hopeful of finding a buyer in the Indian Premier League(IPL) auction to be held next month. The 39-year-old was bought by Mumbai Indians last year but didn't have the best of times, scoring just 209 runs in 9 games at a strike-rate of 114.83, and was eventually released by the franchise.
"I am really hopeful. I feel I can still mix it with the best players and contribute to the team. I love the contest between bat and ball. I love playing in the IPL," Hussey told PTI.
The left-hander, who retired from international cricket in early 2013, felt that he is in great shape both physically and mentally, having worked very hard in the lead up to the Big Bash League T20 tournament in Australia. He further said that he would carry on playing the game as long as he feels he can contribute to the team’s cause.
"I have put in a lot of work over the years and also had an excellent preparation leading into the Big Bash. I came into the tournament fresh and excited and physically and mentally ready to perform,” he said.
"I don't know! While I love the contest and I am fit enough and still contributing to the team I would like to continue playing,” Hussey added.
‘Love talking to young Indian players’

Hussey said that being part of the IPL helps him to take a note of the preparation routines of the best players from around the world, besides giving him the opportunity to pass on his knowledge to the younger ones.
He said: "I love watching the best players from around the world, how they prepare, talk about the game and how they see the game. I also love the atmosphere, the crowds are electric.
"I would love to be there as a player first and foremost. Most years that I have played IPL, I have seen myself as a bit of a mentor/coach to the younger players, particularly the young Indian players, with whom I have built up a fantastic rapport.”
