India's Pragyan Ojha Banned from Bowling due to suspect Bowling action.

Pragyan Ojha who has played 24 tests, 18 ODI's and 6 T20's for India has been banned from bowling due to suspect bowling action. Ojha's action had been under the scanner for over a year. It is believed Ojha had discussed the matter with the national selectors, resulting in his action getting tested in Chennai, India.
The BCCI has finally banned discarded India left arm spinner from bowling in competetive matches due to suspect action. The BCCI has officially informed Ojha's home state association hyderabad about his action needs remidal measures.

He was also released by his IPL team Mumbai Indians. But to everyone's surprise ojha retained Grade B retainership status of 50 L in recently announced annual contracts by the BCCI.

Big Blow to Pak, Ajmal pulls out of WC 2015.

Saeed Ajmal announced that he will not part of the upcoming World Cup in Australia/New Zealand after he failed to correct his bowling action in time.
All the teams have to name their squad by the 7th of January and it was highly unlikely that Ajmal would be able to correct his action completely in order to be selected.

Ajmal’s bowling action was reported during a Test match in August against Sri Lanka. A month-long assessment deemed his action to be illegal and he was suspended from bowling in international cricket.
This is a big blow to pakistani team. They will surely miss this match winner.

Top ten Current Bowlers with most number of test wickets

Here are the list of top 10 current bowlers with most number of wickets. Surprisingly three Indian bowlers makes into the list, out of them two are not laying regularly in the side. There is nothing that can dominate Steyn Gun's Bowling average. Steyn has more than five wickets per match on average, which is incredible....!! No Pakistani Bowler makes into the list

Why Selecting Rahul ahead of Rohit and Raina is a Brave and apt decision.

Kannaur Lokesh Rahul is a 22 year old tall and elegant batsmen who can keep wickets. Rahul was a part of India's squad in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup and made his first-class debut later that year. contributions with the bat were steady rather than spectacular. In the long format, however, his technique and application have impressed some of Indian cricket's most respected names. After scoring spectacular 100's in both the innings of Duleep Trophy final, he has caught the eyes of Indian Selectors to select him for the Australia tour.
As everyone expected, RG Sharma is not part of the third test match between Ind vs Aus, but what surprised everyone is the inclusion of young Rahul in the playing XI choosing ahead of left handed suresh Raina. I think its a brave decision by Dhoni, the fact that Rahul is professional opener in domestic circuit, this can send warning bells to Shikhar Dhawan who is constantly failing to convert his starts.
A great opportunity for young Rahul to prove himself at the highest level. All the Best Rahul.

Joe Burns Set for a test Debut

A Boxing Day Test debut is the stuff of dreams for young Australian cricketers. For some, it has led to a long and successful career - Steve Waugh and Brett Lee, for example. Others like Ed Cowan, Phil Jaques, Martin Love and Jackson Bird have had shorter careers, though in the cases of Cowan and Bird, that could still change. Matthew Nicholson's Boxing Day debut was his only Test.
The latest addition to the list will be Queensland batsman Joe Burns, who will become the 441st man to wear the baggy green when he walks out onto the MCG turf. For serious cricket followers, Burns is an exciting prospect who deserves his chance. More casual cricket fans will say they don't know much about Burns and call him a bolter.
Even among the squad this week, Burns has been trying to fly under the radar, trying not to stay on the right side of the established players. Brad Haddin joked on Tuesday that Burns had asked him where he was allowed to sit in the change-rooms. Burns admitted that his eagerness to please had indeed stretched that far.
"I've been trying to keep a low profile," Burns said. "I've been asking guys like Brad Haddin and Ryan Harris about where to sit, what to do. Just trying to keep off everyone's toes and make sure I'm on the best behaviour... I got very nervous and stood in the middle of the room until everyone else sat down and found a seat. Then I was informed that I was in Michael Clarke's seat so I've got a lot to live up to in that seat."
It's fair to say this is a very different Christmas for Burns, who would usually spend the time with his family in Brisbane. Instead, they are joining him in Melbourne to watch his debut at No.6 for Australia. It will be a first not only for the Burns family, but for Joe Burns himself.
"I've never been to a Boxing Day Test," Burns said. "So from that point of view it's even more exciting, to come along to the ground, see a sold out MCG and soak it all in. It's exciting just to say those words. To live it out on Friday, I can't wait."
At least Burns has pleasant memories of his previous trips to the MCG. He has played two Sheffield Shield games at the venue for scores of 59, 123 and 71. He hopes to find a similar surface when he bats there in a Test match, though the pressure in front of tens of thousands of spectators will be a little more than when he played in the Shield in front of tens of people.
"I certainly do enjoy batting here," Burns said. "It's a wicket that can be quite flat, but also retain its pace. It's a nice batting wicket. I haven't seen the pitch for the Test yet, but I imagine it'll be much the same. Obviously there is going to be more pressure, but hopefully that makes it more enjoyable."
Adding to the familiarity for Burns is the presence of coach Darren Lehmann in the Australian squad. Lehmann was in charge of Queensland when Burns first emerged as a state cricketer of note at the age of 21. Burns said he was the player and person he was today because of the influence of Lehmann.
"I was a young player when he took over and teaching me everything that goes with professional cricket," Burns said. "The values, the type of character, the way to go about the game on and off the field. I think I certainly am the player I am today and I guess the person around cricket I am today because of the influence he had on me from a younger age. I'm just excited to have him as my first Australian coach. It's very special."

Ms Dhoni on Virat and Shikhar spat.

MS Dhoni has sought to rubbish reports that there had been a spat between Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli on the fourth, and last, morning of the Gabba Test.
Both the batsmen had copped blows on their batting arms in the nets before the start of play, but Dhawan's injury was worse and he was late in informing the team of his unavailability to bat. So Kohli, the next man in, only got five minutes' notice.
"That kind of a scenario, there is a bit of unrest in the dressing room," Dhoni had said in the press conference after the Test. "The calmness of the dressing room goes for a toss. It was a bit late to verbally resolve the problem."
There have been reports and speculation that during those five minutes Kohli argued with Dhawan, accused him of running away from the challenge, and that the team director Ravi Shastri had to separate the two. Dhoni, in his inimitable style, said it was the farthest thing from the truth.
"Yeah, actually that was the case," Dhoni joked, "Virat used a knife and he stabbed Shikhar. When he recovered out of that we pushed him out to bat.
"These are all stories. Marvel and Warner bros should pick them up and make a movie out of it. I don't know where it comes from. If someone from the team has actually told you this, it will be interesting if you give us the name of the individual who said this. This is what has happened because his imagination is really brilliant, and he should be working for Warner Bros or another movie company. And he doesn't deserve to be in our dressing room because he has created something that hasn't been there at all. Stuff like that makes good stories for the tabloid, and maybe it helps them sell it. As far as reality is concerned, there is nothing like that."
A day before the Melbourne Test, Kohli and Dhawan walked towards the nets together, and were seen sharing jokes and Dhoni insisted the atmosphere in the dressing room was quite fine.
"We have a fantastic dressing room, and there have been no issues. It goes in the media whenever the team travels and we face difficult situations. Some of the journalists start making their own story up and start putting it forward."
